We have attempted to keep our terms as fair and simple as possible - :

The balance plus returnable breakage deposit is due eight weeks before your arrival. Non-French Euro cheques incur a 30 encashment bank charge.
Guests making last minute bookings will be asked to pay cash on arrival or pay by bank transfer at least seven days before arrival.
By sending us a payment, you are indicating that you have read and you accept these terms and conditions.

Returnable cleaning/breakages deposit
Please note that we require a deposit of 50/70 per week with your balance, which we return by post less any charges for excessive cleaning/breakages/posting back in the week following your departure.

Their rent entitles our guests to a clean and tidy gite when they arrive - it does NOT include a cleaning charge following their stay. If little effort has been made to clean the gite and equipment before they leave, guests must expect to pay a cleaning charge of 25-50 Euros.

Guests
The gîte is let from 4pm on the day of arrival and guests must leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition by 10 am on the day of departure.

Guests must not cause unreasonable nuisance to the owners or any other guests.
No smoking in the gites except in the Le Vieux Chene conservatory.

The use of the accommodation, equipment or any amenities on site is entirely at the hirer's risk and no responsibility will be accepted for injury, loss or damage to the guests personally, their belongings, or vehicles. The owners are not insured for theft of their guests' possessions.

The owners shall not be liable to the guests for any stoppage in the supply of services, nor in the respect of any equipment, machinery or appliance in the cottage or grounds; nor for any other matters beyond the reasonable control of the owners; nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the guest should the property be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of or during the rental period other than the amount previously paid by the hirer in respect of the rental period.
Under no circumstances shall the owners liability to the hirer exceed the amount paid by the hirer to the owner for the rental period.

Low level electric background heating is included in the rental price, wood for heating is extra as required in April and October.

Cancellations
Please note that once you have made a firm booking, you are contracting to pay the full cost of the rental. However, if you cancel your holiday we will make every effort to re-let your cottage, and if we do we will credit you with any rent achieved, less the cost of any specific advertising that is necessary. Please note the later the cancellation, the less likely we will be able to relet. Refunds of payments made by Paypal will be net of Paypal charges.
Guests are strongly advised to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to include cancellation cover and full cover for the party's health, property, etc. Guests are also strongly advised to make sure their EHIC healthcare entitlement card is up to date, and check the extent of their vehicle insurance cover in France with their insurers.

Terms and conditions enclosed with the hirer's booking confirmation may supercede these terms and conditions. We recommend you print and keep a copy of this page.
