Cancellations
Terms and conditions enclosed with the hirer's booking confirmation may supercede these terms and conditions. We recommend you print and keep a copy of this page.
We have attempted to keep our terms as fair and simple as possible - :
Bookings can be agreed with us by phone or e mail and we must receive 1/3 deposit (d'arrhes) to confirm the booking, ie: to refuse the gîte to other enquiries. The balance plus returnable breakage deposit is due eight weeks before your arrival. You can post us a UK or French Euro cheque or transfer/pay direct into our French or British bank account. Non-French Euro cheques incur a 22€ encashment bank charge.
Guests making last minute bookings will be asked to pay cash on arrival or pay by bank transfer at least four days before arrival.
By sending us a payment, you are indicating that you have read and you accept these terms and conditions.
Please note that we require a deposit of £50/€70 per week with your balance, which we return by post less any charges for excessive cleaning/breakages on the first Monday following your departure.
The gîte is let from 4pm on the day of arrival and guests must leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition by 10 am on the day of departure.
No smoking in the gites except in the Le Vieux Chene conservatory.
Under no circumstances shall the owners liability to the hirer exceed the amount paid by the hirer to the owner for the rental period.
Please note that once you have made a firm booking, you are contracting to pay the full cost of the rental. However, if you cancel your holiday we will make every effort to re-let your cottage, and if we do we will credit you with any rent achieved, less the cost of any specific advertising that is necessary. Please note the later the cancellation, the less likely we will be able to relet.
Guests are strongly advised to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to include cancellation cover and full cover for the party's health, property, etc. Guests are also strongly advised to check the extent of their vehicle insurance cover in France with their insurers.
