Getting here - routes and distances from the ports

Cherbourg-Bodrefaux 207 miles - 4 hours
Leaving the port, follow signs to Rennes. Approaching Rennes, take route signposted Lorient onto the ring road, then see From Rennes, below
Caen (Ouistreham)-Bodrefaux 203 miles - 3-4 Hrs
D514 direction Caen, turn west onto ring road around Caen, and take A84 Autoroute to Rennes. Approaching Rennes, take routes signposted Lorient, then see From Rennes, below.
St Malo-Bodrefaux 122 miles - 2 Hrs 15 Mins
Not only is St Malo our closest ferry port, you can choose to drive on dual carriageways almost to Bodrefaux as follows: Take the N137 south direction Rennes. Approaching Rennes, take routes signposted Lorient, then see From Rennes, below.
Dinard-Bodrefaux 95 miles - 150KM - 2 Hrs
Leave the airport and turn right at the first major road. Continue towards the village of Pleurtuit and turn right at the roundabout direction Dinan. After approximately 8KM join the N176 dual carriageway, direction Dinan, Vannes, Lorient, stay on the dual carriageway bypassing Dinan, and take the exit onto the D766 direction Vannes, Lorient, Caulnes. Follow the main road through Caulnes following signs to Vannes D166. Take Care! after Caulnes you pass under a dual carriageway and right after in the little village of St Jouan de L'Isle there is a left turn to Vannes between the buildings, that is easily missed. Continue towards Ploermel, bypass Ploermel following signs to Vannes, and shortly after joining the dual carriageway, take the exit to Vannes N166. After 16KM, take the exit signposted Questembert, turn left over the bridge (taking care to stay on the right hand side of the road) then Questembert direction at the roundabout. After 20KM when you reach the roundabout at Bel-Aire, take the third exit signposted D775 Redon. After a approximately 1.5KM, turn right onto the D1 signposted La Roche-Bernard, Peaule and Muzillac. After about 6KM turn right onto the D153 direction Noyal Muzillac. After about 2.5KM, turn left into the lane at the crossroads, the signpost to Bodrefaux has it's back to you! (If you arrive in Noyal Muzillac you've gone too far). The gites are on the right immediately after the crossroads after 1KM, you can find us in the white house with blue shutters.
Roscoff-Bodrefaux 148 miles - 3Hrs
Take the D58 towards Morlaix. At about 13 miles as you approach the outskirts of Morlaix, after the roundabout and just before passing under the flyover, turn right onto the N12 expressroute to Lorient. Turn off the N12 at the next junction onto the D785, following signs to Lorient. At 26 miles, at the top of the hill with the aerial, turn left at the roundabout onto the D764, to Lorient.
At about 45 miles as you approach Carhaix, signposts to Lorient direct you around Carhaix, after which you join the D769. At about 84 miles as you approach the outskirts of Lorient, follow signs to Vannes, Nantes, onto the N165/A82 dual carriageway. Stay on the N165/A82, and approximately 14 miles after passing Vannes, take the Muzillac (also SP Noyal Mac) exit and follow signs for Muzillac at the junction and the roundabout then continue on this road/street into the town. In Muzillac turn left at the little roundabout, drive through the town centre up the hill, and turn left after the church to Noyal Muzillac. After roughly four miles, just after passing the Noyal Muzillac village sign, turn right by the stone crucifix, go straight on at the mini roundabout (ignore the le Guerno signpost), then turn right at the next junction* (also SP Le Guerno). Take this road for 3/4 mile then turn left to Bodrefaux. Your destination is just a further 3/4 of a mile on your left just before the crossroads.
*Give way to the right from all directions at this junction.
From Rennes Ring Road (Rocade), take junction 10 Porte de Lorient signposted to Vannes and Lorient onto the N 24 (it's on a downhill section and easily missed - take care). After about 37 miles, soon after passing the Aire de Brocellande services, turn onto the N 166 direction Vannes. After 10 miles, take the exit signposted Questembert, turn left over the bridge then Questembert direction at the roundabout. After 12 miles when you reach the roundabout at Bel-Aire, take the third exit signposted D775 Redon. After a little more than a mile, turn right onto the D1 signposted La Roche-Bernard and Peaule. After about 3.5 miles turn right onto the D153 direction Noyal Muzillac. After about 1.3 miles, turn left into the lane at the crossroads, the signpost to Bodrefaux has it's back to you! (If you arrive in Noyal Muzillac you've gone too far). The gites are on the right immediately after the crossroads after 0.6 miles, you can find us in the white house with blue shutters.
Nantes ring road, or Nantes Atlantique Airport-Bodrefaux 65miles - 105KM - 1-1.5 Hrs
Follow signs onto the Peripherique (ring road) direction Vannes/
Lorient. Stay on the Peripherique and turn off at the Porte Ar Mor for Vannes/ Lorient, and take the
Vannes exit at the roundabout.
After a few miles this dual carriageway joins the N165/A82 dual carriageway, and
you stay on this for about 60 kilometers, taking the exit onto the D139 to Questembert. Ignore first signs for Noyal Muzillac, (the D139 becomes the D1 when you go under the flyover) and after about 7
kilometers turn left onto the the D153 direction Noyal Muzillac. After about 2.5KM, turn left into the lane at the crossroads, the signpost to Bodrefaux has it's back to you! The gites are on the
right after the crossroads after 1KM, you can find us in the white house
with blue shutters.
