Location, location, location.....just where is 'South Brittany'? Many holiday cottages give their location as 'South Brittany' and you may think that they are close to the coast, but often they are many miles inland. You could not only be faced with a long drive to the seaside, but as most of Brittany's history and wealth is connected with the sea, you could have a long drive to worthwhile tourist attractions, and to interesting towns and villages too. Inland, Brittany has more rainfall and less sunshine than the south coast, so you could be driving in search of better weather too. |

| Our little hamlet and the lane passing through it don’t appear on Michelin yellow maps, but Bodrefaux is just south of the D153 road 2.4KM (1.5 miles) north east of Noyal Muzillac, which is 24 KM (15 miles) south east of Vannes. The local climate, proximity to the coast and so many attractions and activities, have made this area popular with French holidaymakers for many years, and of the dozen other houses in Bodrefaux, five are French owned holiday homes. | |
